Time out: food drink cafés restaurants cinema massage cycling canoeing riding surfing families
Botelet is nestled in a valley in South East Cornwall offering peace and tranquility in a beautiful rural setting. There is much to do on your doorstep - step out across the fields exploring the 300 acres of countryside at Botelet - walk up to Bury Down iron age hill fort, or follow the paths down to the deciduous woodland - stunning mid spring when covered with a sea of bluebells. For runners, there are a number of great circular routes along pretty, quiet country lanes. In summer set up a deck chair to catch the sun in a private corner of the gardens, and in winter curl up by the woodburner, while you get lost in a good book.
Botelet is an idyllic setting for family holidays, children will love running through the fields, playing on the trampoline in the orchard behind Manor Cottage, dipping their toes in the stream that runs through the woodland, and are very welcome to help feed our chickens and look for eggs.
Therapeutic massage is available on-site at Botelet in our dedicated treatment room - relax and unwind with a massage that is tailored to your needs, targeting areas of tension and promoting deep relaxation.
For those who wish to explore further afield the area during their stay, we have put together some recommendations including cafés, delis, restaurants and shops in the area (Fowey, Lostwithiel, Polperro and Looe as well as further afield) along with activities from cycling, horse riding, canoeing and surfing to community cinema events. It's a good idea to book in advance, especially in the summer.
We have included a range of places that we have sampled ourselves or received good recommendations from visitors, however this is not an exhaustive list. Do contact us for more information.
We would be grateful to receive feedback on places you sample during your stay to help keep our list fresh!
