Botelet Safe Stays Charter
Thank you for booking to stay with us here at Botelet. During this era of Covid-19 we have had to make a number of changes to our self-catering accommodation in order to comply with government guidance and ensure we keep our guests, housekeepers and our own family safe. We are blessed to be surrounded by open countryside and able to offer stays in self-contained properties without communal areas, however there are certain changes to our holiday offering that we are having to make, and steps we are asking you to take in order for us to be able to open. These are set out below in this Safe Stays Charter.
We ask that you take the time to carefully read through this Safe Stays Charter, in addition to our general Terms and Conditions. Please note that we are only able to accept reservations on the basis of compliance with the terms set out in our Safe Stays Charter and Terms and Conditions, so please ensure that you have read through and are happy to proceed, and do let us know if you have any questions. Thank you so much for your assistance, we very much look forward to welcoming you to Botelet.
During your stay at Botelet we kindly ask that you:
Follow our self check-in and departure guidelines which are property specific and will be sent to you upon booking.
Please let us know in advance if you prefer to bring your own bedding - duvet, pillows, sheets and bed linen.
When you arrive at your property, please scan the QR code to ‘check in’. The QR code can be found on the pin-board. Please re-scan the QR code each day you are staying at the property as the system re-sets at midnight.
Respect the need to remain socially distant to anyone outside of your household while staying at Botelet. This includes other guests, and also our family (we live opposite Manor Cottage).
Supervise children when outside to ensure they keep a social distance with others. We recommend that children are encouraged to make use of each properties’ large private gardens during independent outdoor play.
Use sanitiser before entering property for the first time, and each time after returning to Botelet from an external visit. We have placed sanitiser outside the front door of each property.
Wash hands regularly and thoroughly with hot soapy water during your stay.
Ventilate your accommodation as much as possible (opening doors and windows, leaving them on latches) as this helps to reduce the risk of any cross-contamination with subsequent guests.
Bring sanitiser with you to take out and about during your stay in Cornwall.
Act responsibly whilst on holiday in Cornwall. If you intend to visit a location or attraction and find that it is very busy, so that it will be difficult to remain socially distant from others, the advice from Cornwall Council is to change your plans and leave.
If you are not using a room or bed(s) during your stay, we kindly ask that you shut the door and leave everything as you found it. Should you need to use the rooms for any reason you are welcome to, we simply ask that you turn down the duvet of any used beds so that we can identify them. Thank you.
Departing from Botelet:
Ensure that all kitchen items you have used have been washed (all crockery, cutlery, glasses, pots, pans etc), either in the dishwasher or the sink. You are welcome to leave the dishwasher running when departing.
Please empty all bins and recycling inside the property into outside bins before departing, including bedroom, bathroom and kitchen bins.
Turn down the duvet on all beds that have been used.
Please check property thoroughly before departing - including under beds and in drawers. We are unable to return lost property at this time.
Please depart promptly at the specified time (10am for cottages, 11am for the yurt). Our cleaners need the full changeover time to be able to prepare the property for the next guests.
Note that at this time we are unable to offer therapeutic massage, Botelet Breakfast Club or wellbeing classes such as meditation and retreats due to guidelines preventing close proximity indoors of people from disparate households. We will review this as government guidance changes, in light of the facilities and resources that we have here at Botelet.
During this era of Covid-19 we are offering refunds to anyone with an existing booking if there is a national or local lockdown preventing your holiday. Please note that this does not include situations in which a positive or awaited Covid-19 test for an individual within the group prevents travel.
Do not travel to Botelet to commence your holiday if you or any member of your party develops symptoms of covid, are within the isolation period following one of the household having symptoms, or if you are within the 14 day isolation period requested by Test and Trace. Please inform us as soon as possible should this occur.
